The Teaching Burger - LDS Youth Teaching Activity

Are the youth in your ward struggling with teaching on Sundays? Here's a fun way to show your LDS youth how teach a great lesson. As the 2nd counselor in the Young Women in my ward, we wanted to show our 12-13 girls that teaching in front of each other doesn't have to be hard or scary. So I created "The Teaching Burger". Just like you need the perfect toppings to make a really good burger, you also need the right toppings to give an inspiring lesson that will help us draw closer to Christ.

This can be played as a mid-week activity or you can teach it before a Sunday lesson in class. This digital download includes 10 printable 8.5x11 pages. It includes:

- Complete instructions on how to play
- 7 toppings pages with teaching tips for each one
- Multiple choice review questions
- Take-home handout

How to play:
Step #1 - Cut out each burger shape and tape the corresponding teaching tips to the back of each one
Step #2 - Hide the burger shapes throughout the church or room where you are playing
Step #3 - Tell the youth to find the shapes
Step #4 - Instruct each youth to read the tip on the back of the burger shape that they found and then tape it to the board
Step #5 - Read the multiple choice review questions to the youth and discuss
Step #6 - Give each of the youth a take-home handout and a Krabby Patty for refreshments

Our girls loved the activity and they felt more confident about teaching a lesson afterwards.
